Z590 ROG MAXIMUS XIII HERO - Drivers won't Install / NO LAN + WIFI

If someone could help my I can't get any of my drivers to install from the Included DVD or off Asus Website. The only one that was successful was the Intel Chipset. Anytime I try and click to install drivers it just does nothing after I press Yes to approve admin install.

I am about to reinstall Windows 10 through Windows Media Creation Tool as my original Windows 10 USB installer was from 2015.
I only have internet now because of USB Tethering.

PS - This is a fresh install on a brand new ROG Maximus XIII HERO with a i7 11700k if this matters.

Hi,

You need these firmware/drivers for your ASUS ROG Maximus XIII Hero motherboard :

[FIRMWARE] Intel ME (H510/B560/H570/Z590)

[DRIVERS] Intel Chipset/MEI/SATA/VMD (1xx/2xx/3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx/7xx)

- Intel Chipset Drivers

- Intel MEI Drivers (Drivers Only)

- Intel SATA AHCI-RAID Drivers (Drivers Only) :

Drivers - 4xx/5xx

[DRIVERS] Intel GNA (5xx/6xx/7xx)

[DRIVERS] Intel Serial IO (3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx/7xx)

- Intel Serial IO Drivers (Drivers Only) :

Drivers - 5xx

[DRIVERS] Intel Thunderbolt

- Intel Thunderbolt 3/4 Drivers (Drivers Only)

[DRIVERS] Intel Ethernet/WiFi/Bluetooth

- Intel Ethernet Drivers (Drivers Only) :

Drivers - I225/I226

- Intel WiFi Drivers (Drivers Only) :

Drivers - 9xxx/AXxxx

- Intel Bluetooth Drivers (Drivers Only) :

Drivers - 8xxx/9xxx/AXxxx

[DRIVERS] Realtek USB Audio (Intel 5xx/6xx/7xx & AMD 5xx/6xx/TRX40)

You have an ASUS ROG SS3|DTS Sound Unbound motherboard with ALC408x codec, so :

You need Realtek USB Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3-DTS) from the first post of the thread.

Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process then your INSTALL process, for the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow your UPDATE process.

I know this thread is old but OP is right certain drivers, specifically the Intel LAN driver for Z590 hero wont install. All motherboard chipst, serial, MEI drivers are installed but nothing happens when you accept the prompt to install the LAN driver (Im using windows 11 now).

After attempting install & rebooting PC their is no LAN driver showing in "appwiz.cpl" aka add/remove programs. Also in just the driver folder their is NO install file so Im not sure what you mean by "driver only". I guess everyone is just using generic microsoft LAN driver? Whats the purpose of the ROG driver then if it wont install & never got fixed?

Hi,

Indeed this is an old thread, I edited my post above to updated it.

It's normal that you will not see an uninstaller in appwiz.cpl, these are drivers only packages (like most of the drivers I offer).

Please read carefully what is indicated in the Install/Update Process below each drivers packages from my threads before complain.

The latest LAN driver on the download page did give a couple of folks problems, but it worked fine on my system. I don't show a LAN driver in the Uninstall a program page.
