Happy new year to you too!
I hope to see a Golden Cove CPU with 50-60 cores in the HEDT space next year. We already know we'll get 50-60 core golden cove Xeons but the big question is how may cores will we get in the core i9 XE type CPU and what will the HEDT X-series type chipset platform look like (or whatever they name it)? How does the 10980XE/R6EE v.next look like?
If we get a 60 pure golden cove core CPU with 64 lane PCIe 5.0 v.next, I'm in. IF the HEDT v.next it's too incremental, like 24, 28, 32 core CPU of mixed core (some mix of Golden + efficiency/a.k.a. crap cores), I'm afraid intel is done in the HEDT space. I might go AMD v.next thread ripper - it will be my first AMD build...
Intel has a lot to prove the next 12 months.
