New NVME not showing up SN850 (Rampage V) need help!

Can't see it in disk management, what should I do. Cheers.

    [update]
also doesn't show up in bios
    Rampage V Extreme (X99) - Latest bios
    CPU: i7-5960X if that helps

Is there a setting I need to disable, some sort of order I need to put my NVME and SSD and HDDS in... As I have all 3 types.
    Is the SN850 Not compatible?
I have my OS installed on my SSD by the way, not the NVME, just brought the NVME if that matters, just wanted to format it and get it all sorted out first e.t.c

    [update again]
unplugged all HDDs and my ssds, still not detecting my NVME.. possible bios setting? or is it faulty NVME, or just too modern for an older board?

DID A BIT MORE GOOGLING... apparently there's 2 types of M.2 Drivers.... sata and nvme??? i guess the 850 won't work?? as it's not got 2 cut-out parts and only 1??

If the above is the case, can I use one of these?

Would I see any negatives using this? will any issues happen, want to use the NVME as my OS drive!

Only M.2 PCIe works on this motherboard.
MB: Asus Rampage V Extreme (WC loop1 rad 120x3) Bios 4101
    CPU: Core i7-6950X (WC loop2 rad 120x9)
    MEM: G.Skill Flare X 32GB (4x8GB) DDR4 3200MHz@CAS14/CR1
    GPU: ZOTAC Trinity RTX 3090 Watercooled [double side] {PCIE_X16/X8_3 slot} (WC loop3 rad 120x9 + 140x9)
SSD: Corsair MP600 PRO XT 2To SSD M.2 NVMe w/ heatsink
    HDD: 4 x 10TB Seagate IronWolf RAID 0 (WC loop1)

I do not have your exact motherboard, but do have a Prime Z590-A
On my motherboard, if I put anything in the other PCIe x16 slots besides the GPU in slot 1
The GPU is dropped to x8
Even installing a PCIe Wifi card into one of those slots, which is only x1, still drops the GPU to x8

Motherboard Rampage V Extreme PCIe Layout:

    PCIE_X16_1 (3.0)
    -
    PCIE_X8_2 (3.0)
    PCIE_X4_1 (2.0) *shared with PCIE_X1_1 and USB3_E910 (ASMedia) and SATAExpress_E1 (ASMedia)
    PCIE_X16/X8_3 (3.0)
    PCIE_X1_1 (2.0) *
    PCIE_X8_4 (3.0) *shared with M.2 x4

*When PCIE_X4_1 (BIOS: PCIE_X4_1 Slot Mode) is occupied by X1 or X2 device, the SATAExpress_E1 will be disabled.
*When PCIE_X4_1 (BIOS: PCIE_X4_1 Slot Mode) is occupied by X4, both the SATAExpress_E1, USB3_E910 and the PCIE_X1_1 will be disabled.

*When PCIE_X1_1 Slot Mode is enabled (BIOS), PCIE_X4_1 is limited to x2 bandwidth and when it is occupied, SATAExpress_E1 is disabled, [USB3_E910 is also disabled]
*When USB3_E910 Mode is enabled (BIOS) and PCIE_X1_1 is disabled, PCIE_X4_1 is limited to x2 bandwidth and when it is occupied, SATAExpress_E1 is disabled.

*When using 40-Lane CPU, PCIE_X8_4 slot can only be used in x4 mode or lower when used simultaneously with the M.2 connector. If x8 mode is used, the two connectors will be mutually exclusive.

The SN850 is a NVME PCIe x4 Gen4 and it should be compatible with the Rampage V M.2 x4 Gen3 port.

Have you tried to put the SN850 is a USB NVME enclosure to make sure it is working?

Have tried to setup in BIOS the "PCIEx8_4 and M.2 Configuration" to M.2 and the "PCIEX8_4 Link Speed" to Gen3?

    Advanced Menu -> Onboard Devices Configuration -> PCIEx8_4 and M.2 Configuration -> M.2

    Advanced Menu -> System Agent Configuration -> NB PCI-E Configuration -> PCIEX8_4 Link Speed -> Gen3
