RoG Falchion: can't update the firmware.

Hi dooryan,

Welcome to the ROG forum.

Connect the dongle to a motherboard usb port, connect the cable to the ROG Falchion and connect to a motherboard usb port. Turn the ROG Falchion wireless switch on and try the update.

Thank you for the response. I followed your instruction but the problem is still there. Actually, I am using a Zephyrus G14 Laptop with a ROG Claymore II keyboard not Falchion. Silly question: Is it required to use the authentic cable or i can just use any cable for the firmware updating to work?

Any usb-c cable should work but I'd use the one that came with the ROG Claymore II.

Any success getting your Claymore II to update?

At this point, I will suggest to uninstall Armoury Crate with the uninstall tool, then reinstall Armoury Crate.

Let the dongle connected and the Claymore II connected to your pc with the cable, set the keyboard wireless switch to on.

Select your operating system then click show all, it's the second download.

After reinstalling Armoury Crate, go to the update center, at the top right click "check for updates".

Thank you for your help. But i think i will pass on this firmware update as the reinstallation might cause some troubles with the anime matrix. Last time it took me like 6 times to reinstall armoury crate to get it to function as normal.

All should go well if you use the Armoury Crate uninstall tool.

Sounds a crazy I know, but some people have had this issue when the cable isn't plugged in properly. It's something that you don't think of, and the side effect is update issues. Make sure the cable is plugged in properly.
