Rampage Extreme 3 question.

Rampage Extreme 3 has 2 ATX (the CPU cables) power cable inputs on the motherboard.. my question is do I need to have power going to both of them?

Info that might matter
1. Not overclocking anything
2. Single geforce 3070 video card in slot (no other pci slot being used)
3. CPU is i7-980x extreme
4. not sure what else might matter so ask if it makes a difference

The reason i am asking is my PSU died a few days ago (it had cables for both spots).. and i have a PSU that is laying around but only has 1 cable for that spot..

Welcome to the ROG forum.

Under normal operation only one 8-pin cpu power cable is required, for extreme overclocking use both 8-pin cpu power connectors.
