ROG Maximum Z590 Extreme with x2 M.2 980 Nvme Intel RAID is not showing

Hi guys,

I have a new system build specs are

- CPU: 10900k
- Mobo: Z590 Extreme
- Storage: x2 980 Nvme (installed on M.2_1 and M.2_2)

BIOS is updated to 1202

I am trying to create a RAID 0 and install the OS on it

I tried everything inside the BIOS and read a lot of resources but still cannot figure out why Intel Rapid Storage doesnt see my x2 Nvme drives

I will try to walk you over my BIOS setup to see what I am doing wrong.

1- Advanced\Onboard Devices Configuration
> CPU PCIE Configuration Mode is set to "PCIEX16_1 + M.2_1 + M.2_2"

here the system read both Nvme inside

2- Advanced\PCH Storage Configuration
SATA Mode Selection is set to "Intel RST Premuim With Intel Op..."

--- I can see both Nvme when I go to Advanced\NVMe controller and Drive information

but when I goto Advanced\Intel(R) Rapid Storage Technology

it shows (RST 18.31.1.5256 RAID Driver)

No disks connected to system

I hope someone can help me diagnose the issue here, thanks in advance.

Hello, I don't have the same configuration but maybe this video can compare your Raid configuration.

yes I already watched the video and did what he did but both M.2_1 and M.2_2 are not showing when choosing the SATA Mode to Intel RAID

Is there an option to enable (NVMe RAID mode) in (Advanced> SATA Configuration)?
