Is it worth going for the more expensive 10980XE over the 7980XE? From what I can see there is only about 5% better performance on the 10980, is it really worth it?

A good friend loaned me the money for a 10980XE, should be here by Wednesday 19th Jan. UK seller had 12 for sale at a price not much more than a 7980XE from China, 30 day money back guarantee too.

Looking forward to some tinkering using my Rampage VI Extreme, should be better than my one memory channel dead 7940X.
