Strix GL503 - dedicated GPU for external monitor?

Hello,

I bought a monitor capable of 4K otput @ 60FPS via HDMI for my laptop (Strix GL503, it has a GTX 1050 which should be capable for that - note that I do not intend to game on this thing, just office productivity work) but the best I can get is 4K @ 30FPS and it's through Intel HD 630 and the image displayed on the monitor is choppy. I'm running Windows 10 and cannot for the life of me find a setting which would allow me to force the dedicated GPU for video output instead of Intel graphics.
Any help guys?

Kind regards!

The GL503VD has an HDMI 1.4 port which is limited to 4k 30hz. The GPU does not matter because the port is the limitation. You can run a higher refresh but you will have to lower the resolution. Depending on the monitor 1920x1080 may look clear for desktop work because it is exactly 1/4 of a 4k display.
