Hi,

You had a very good reflex by providing the hardware ID, this Hardware ID corresponds to Intel Serial IO GPIO Driver for Intel 6xx series chipsets.

You need these firmware/drivers for your ASUS TUF Gaming Z690-PLUS WIFI D4 motherboard :

[FIRMWARE] Intel ME (H610/B660/H670/Z690)

[DRIVERS] Intel Chipset/MEI/SATA/VMD (1xx/2xx/3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx)

- Intel Chipset Drivers

- Intel MEI Drivers (Drivers Only)

- Intel VMD Drivers (Drivers Only) :

Drivers - 6xx

[DRIVERS] Intel GNA (5xx/6xx)

[DRIVERS] Intel Serial IO/Thunderbolt (3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx)

- Intel Serial IO Drivers (Drivers Only) :

Drivers - 6xx

[DRIVERS] Intel Ethernet/WiFi/Bluetooth

- Intel Ethernet Drivers (Drivers Only) :

Drivers - I225

- Intel WiFi Drivers (Drivers Only) :

Drivers - 9xxx/AXxxx

- Intel Bluetooth Drivers (Drivers Only) :

Drivers - 8xxx/9xxx/AXxxx

[DRIVERS] Realtek Audio (MB | Intel 2xx/3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx & AMD 3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx)

You have an ASUS TUF DTS Audio Processing motherboard, so :

You need Realtek Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS TUF/PRIME DTS AP MB) from the first post of the thread.

Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process then your INSTALL process, for the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow your UPDATE process.

Follow this :

- Press Windows key + X > Device Manager > Right-click on your Unknown device > Update driver > Browse my computer for driver software
- Browse... > Select the extracted drivers folder (SERIAL_IO_Intel_v30.100.2148.1) > Check the Include subfolders option > Next

Hi,

I would like to make sure in which order I should install the BIOS, FW and Drivers (the name packages make me confused).

I read that it should be:
Chipset Drivers > MEI Drivers > ME Firmware > VMD Drivers

So, I guess it corresponds to:
- BIOS (was not mentioned)
- Intel Chipset Drivers (from package [DRIVERS] Intel Chipset/MEI/SATA/VMD)
- Intel MEI Drivers ([DRIVERS] Intel Chipset/MEI/SATA/VMD)
- Intel ME Consumer Firmware (from [FIRMWARE] Intel ME)
- Intel SATA AHCI-RAID Drivers (back to [DRIVERS] Intel Chipset/MEI/SATA/VMD)
- Intel VMD Drivers (from [DRIVERS] Intel Chipset/MEI/SATA/VMD)

Next, the other drivers (the order doesn't matter):
- Intel GNA
- Intel Serial IO/Thunderbolt
- Intel Ethernet/WiFi/Bluetooth
- Realtek Audio

Thanks for this great forum, the quality of the content is outstanding!

Hi,

It's correct.

However there is no more Intel SATA AHCI-RAID Drivers since Intel 6xx series chipsets.

I posted a detailed explanation here : https://rog.asus.com/forum/showpost.php?p=855820

@MoKiChU, thank you sir now it's crystal clear!
