z690 motheborad and Rog Ryujin 360 Fitting Question

Hello to all of you.A week ago i purchaced a z690 Maximus Extreme motheborad with an intel cpu 12th gen lga1700. Also bought a Rog ryujin 360 cpu cooler. I was wondering if the cooler will fit on my motheboard. On the manual says that my motheboard supports lga1200 and 1700 mounting but i dont know if will not make any problem on my cpu because my cpu is lga1700.

Thanks in advance

As you said, the Z690 Extreme supports both LGA1200 and LGA1700 mounting even though the socket is LGA1700. If you look at the mounting holes near the CPU socket, you'll see 2 sets of holes that are partially overlapping. This allows coolers that use the LGA1200 hole spacing or LGA1700 hole spacing to both work!

If you use the LGA1200 mounting hardware from the ROG Ryujin 360, you should have no problems!

Thanks for the reply..but did someone actually try it and had no problems?? Also why does the ryujin 2 360 has kit for lga1700 support with brackets and screws??
Somewhere my eyes caught an article that the screws are not in the same z axis as the lga1200 so the pressure on the cpu might not be effective

You're right-- the LGA1700 z height is a bit shorter than LGA1200 and as you said, this might have an impact on mounting pressure for the CPU.

I have seen a report online of the Ryujin on an Asus Z690 motherboard (with a 12900k) and the user had reported positive results, but using a cooler with official LGA1700 support is recommended.
