(WIDESPREAD) ROG Scar-15 Fan speeds capped recently even in manual mode

This discussion is about ROG Strix Scar-15 G533Q_. In turbo mode Asus has capped the fan speeds to 5100rpm, but you could get past that in manual mode by setting a custom fan curve. Many Scar-15's got to around 7000-8000rpm at 100% fan speed. But recently Armoury Crate has seemed to cap the fan speeds of the CPU at 6100rpm and the GPU at 6300rpm both at 100%. This issue is not hardware based since MyAsus app is able to reach much higher rpm around 7-8k during a diagnostic test. This is drastically affecting performance for many users, for me personally it has increased the temps by 6-8C which is quite a lot since we are talking about a Gaming Laptop here! I have also contacted many other Scar 15 owners on Reddit whom also are experiencing this issue. I do not know if this was done intentionally or by mistake.

I request Asus to look into this issue as soon as possible and roll out a fix since many people are unable to use their devices at their full potential thus leading to bad reputation for ROG devices.

After Windows (10 x64) Update installed BIOS 327 on my laptop G17 G713QR , fans in Manual mode now have lowest speed of 3000rpm on both CPU and GPU. My 24/7 fan profile uses 1900/1600rpm as lowest speeds. I set 54W max for CPU and stock GPU for this profile.

Latest Armoury Crate ofcourse and I think I had BIOS 325 before this 327, things worked well then.

This is similar problem when Armoury Crate was updated quite some time ago(more than 6 monts ago?): Manual mode behaved exactly like Turbo mode, fans would decrease to minimum 3000rpm and then stop completely, 0 rpm at 45C and lower.

I only use Manual mode

I'm back on BIOS 325... fan profiles work again in Manual mode.

Same problems, also when GPU goes into power saving mode its fan shuts down completely. Rog strix g713qm bios 318

I too only use manual mode and speeds jump from 0 to 3000.
Reported this to customer support. They said they forwarded the issue to the development team. No reply since then!
