If you're not stable with the voltages you listed, I might try resetting to defaults and setting the ram manually instead of using X.M.P.

Braegnok is using the ROG Z690 Apex which supports up to 6600MHz, his 12900k likely has a stronger memory controller than the 12600k.
Yes but when we speak about XMP II we speak about default stable settings from the factory..so..I can find a reason why asus not test those ram and listed on their QVL manual like they do in the past with previous generation of motherboards(by the way I never had issues with previous rog motherboards for example z390 z490 just click XMP and finish. So they advertise and promote product on their manual but it's not working properly 7 months after Alder lake and z690 release..it's not a month my friend..it's 7 months 4 different bios and majority of users still have issues with XMP with ddr5 on alder lake.Today I play 5 hour a game with xmp close(auto)and it gaves me 4800 mhz that was stable without crash and bsods also at those settings I pass without issues memetest 2 hours..So the motherboard ""knows better it self""for that I understood can give auto settings without problems but when im choosing xmp II( that is the factory settings) it always crash..no make any sense right ?

With some help from Braegnok's settings, you could try raising the voltages a little higher.

    VDDQ TX voltage - 1.40v
    IMC VDD voltage -1.25v
    IVR VCCSA - 1.25v
VDD (SWA) voltage - 1.30v up to 1.40v if needed
VDDQ (SWB) voltage - 1.30v up to 1.40v if needed

i understand how ur feeling, coz i experience same issue with you. can u tell more specific about ur board type?
i use z690 hero, ram g.skill 6000 2x16gb xmp I and II always succesful boot to windows but experience bsod and crash while gaming. event it restart by itself,
rma ram is not working for me, coz i rma it 2 times. soo i already use 3 brand new g.skill ram with same issue
first i buy F5-6000U3636E16GX2 TZ5RK , it was samsung at dec. coz cant use xmp i rma that ram, seller offering me for change to F5-6000J3636F16GX2 TZ5RK, depending asus qvl it was hynix but i still have same issue at 1403 bios. xmp = crash bsod. one more i try rma ram again and they send me new ram with same type. result is same, crash bsod. its not ram issue, trying change psu too from 850 to 1000 not help. i also up my windows from 10 to 11 still not help. i think it was board issue. but i ask other people who use hero board, they say they can run xmp succesfull with just trun on xmp, no need tuning any voltage etc. so i run xmp I with lowering the speed into 5600 was work for me. but like you say we need use something what we pay. still trying use 6000 speed. when bios 1505 come out it, i think can resolve this problem, but still not coz i play game still crash, still confusing too about this problem, can we rma board in this case?
someone plz need your advice. i build this for dec 2021 until now cant play games with calm feeling.

Something to double check for those of you having major issues with stability and not being able to run your expected RAM speeds...

Have you made sure you've got your RAM in the right memory slots on the motherboard?

The motherboard manual states the recommended slots for 2 sticks of RAM is A2 & B2 on these DDR5 boards. With DDR4 it used to be A1 and B1 so I think it is easy to overlook this detail, but I believe it has a significant impact on stability.

Sorry if that is a little patronising, but thought I'd mention it in case its been overlooked.

I'm running the Strix Z690-E and just updated to Bios v1505 but am sorry to say it seems my systems stability has regressed... I've had to up the VDD and VDDQ to be able to boot into Windows without a crash after many months of lovely stability at stock settings on everything.

Exactly my friend! You speak right..i spend 3 months before with a lot of sacrifices a big amount of money to relax on my new PC and watching movies or play games with friends when i have a free time on weekends AND I CANT.. because of the feeling like you said.

    My board is:
    Motherboard:Z690 G ASUS STRIX
    Ram:KF560C40BBK2-16 kingston (qvl asus manual)
12600k stock MCE disable max turbo boost 4,5Ghz P cores 3,6Ghz E cores
    RTX 3080 strix oc
    Nvme: pci express 3.0 toshiba
    Psu:coolermasterv850 sfx gold

    All is brand NEW.

Like you said with windows 10 to 11 nothing change (Btw i thing so that crashes and bsods with windows 11 its a litle bit worse).
I was thinking like you to send back my ram for rma but at the point(with 1505 bios)that the ram pass memtest 4 times in a row(also windows 10 memory diagnostic tool and occt 20 min )without issue at XMP II at 5600mhz without touch nothing (just click xmp ii 5600 mhz f10 save and exit)and after 10 min it crash on games makes me believe that is not issue from the ram but from the motherboard or from memory controler.Sure im not satisfied with 5600mhz(its not for that i paid) but at least in the beginning and with release of 1505 bios i was happy because i pass memtest....and after one hour gaming BOOM again BSOD!

Something goes wrong on the games and app.No possible to be stable on OCCT on memory test and crashing on games!ITS CRAZY!
i change 10 times with DDU display driver uninstaller my GPU drivers still bsos with code address crash ntoskrnl.exe+3f7d60

i do also a new cable management,i uninstall all my 3rd party programs(no antivirus,no msi after burner,no mouse app, nothing just clean format windows 10 64 bit and all the right updates and still BSODs and freezing on GAMES! )

    WHAT IS THIS ntoskrnl.exe+3f7d60 ???

The only thing that can make troubles is the RAM because i cant find any other reasson and also many many posts with same issues.
Please if someone have experience i will like to ask him to help me step by step.
    Thank you!

Im using A2 B2 position that is the right way!
Me too with 1505 bios if i choose XMP I with more volt at VDD VDDQ and ram voltage i can enter on windows and passing also 2 times memtest but im crashing on games BSOD and Freezing with address crash code ntoskrnl.exe+3f7d60.

But with XMP II 6000mhz(bios again 1505) that is my stock factory settings all auto (just choosing XMP II 6000mhz F10 save and exit)my pc not post it post only with XMP II 5600mhz all auto.

    Its not weird??
    What you thinking?

It sounds like you're almost there.

    Are you using Gear 2?

In the bios, on the Dram Timing Control page you could try loosening the primary timings one number or try the Command Rate at 2N or 2T.
