G512LW-XS78 RAM options?

AgentHunk

I want to ask here for confirmation that my system (G512LW-XS78) can take up to 64GB of Ram?
I can't quite decide if 2933 or 3200 or which way to go
Is it locked to 2933 mhz?
or not?

It says says in taskmanager that my ram slots is 2 out of 4 slots being used.
so the system can take up to four 16GB sticks of RAM?

I am having a hard time finding a website listing All of the Technical Specifications options for upgrades for my system to make a decision.

64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

Hi AgentHunk

The specs for the ROG Strix G15 G512LW-XS78 show 32GB of 2933MHz ram.

In your screenshot, you're using only 10GB out of 32GB.

32GB is plenty for gaming, adding more ram won't increase performance, it would just give you 2 sticks per channel.

And since this is a laptop, you likely have no control over certain voltages which could prove problematic with stability by adding 64GB.

Any reason you want/need more ram?

if I am not reading the app description incorrectly, there is two more slots to use.

where is the other 2 slots?
im assuming there are 4 individual ram slot connectors, not 2.

to answer your question the reason.

it says im have dual setup.

im thinking based on what taskmanager and cpu z is saying, that I have Quad RAM setup not Dual.

Am I wrong?

it is said that dual channel is better than single channel,

if I have Quad Channel then that should be better?

Am I right or Wrong?

currently I am using slots 1 and 3
so slot 2 and 4 is empty....

Am I missing something or am I getting warmer?

Looking deeper into the specs:

It is dual channel memory, it's showing two dimm slots as in your photo. Single channel would be running with just one stick.

Max supported is 32GB and depending on the cpu, you could go up to 3200MHz. 2933MHz is listed for the i5-10300H and i7-10750H.
