Smile ASUS ROG Maximus Z690 APEX Manufacturing Date? 2021-11

Hi... to all the ASUS enthusiast.... I just purchase a ASUS ROG Maximus Z690 APEX motherboard from Newegg and is was shipped from Australia, from "First Blood business"

The manufacturing Date is stamp 2021-11, my question is, has any one purchased a more current date manufactured motherboard? and maybe from whom?. Or is this the latest manufacturing date for the ASUS ROG Maximus Z690 APEX?

I have read a lot of forums, that maybe there could be an issue with this board, with an older manufacturing date. Especially with memory.

    I have purchased all of the parts at the same time;
    I9-12900KS
    ASUS ROG Maximus Z690 APEX
    G.Skill F5-5600J3036D32GX2-TZ5RK 64BG Memory
EVGA 10G-P5-3897-KR; RTX 3080 FTW3 Ultra Video Card
    Seagate FireCuda 530 1TB SSD
Thermaltake PS-TPG-1200F1FAPU-1 RGB 1200W Power Supply

I am not totally interested in overclocking, "I am wanting a very stable system" with performance....

I have watch a you tube video from PCDIY and I want to set it up as he has explains.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MiatGZm7ioI

But I was concerned about the manufacturing date of this board. Before I put every thing together.... Or if I can exchange it with a new date from somewhere.

Help on this would greatly be appreciated..

Thank you so much for the information. It's very much appreciated. Now if I can find a January Z690 Apex Motherboard... I've order another one to see if it's a January date.

I would just like a very stable system with performance.... I have a ASUS Maximus XIII Hero board and i9-11900KF and it errors all the time a stock settings....

So maybe this will be a good combination with the Z690 boards.

    Hi,

You're running a 2x 32GB @ 5600, this isn't an easy configuration to run - replacing the board isn't likely to help especially if you don't want to tune manually.

+1,.. the G.SKILL 2x 32GB 5600 kit is not listed in Apex QVL, you may need to tune manually.

I have tested two of the 2x 32GB kits listed in Apex QVL, they both run in XMP 1 just fine on my Apex board.

    Tested kits:

The Corsair Micron 32GB modules are sold as a matched kit of two modules.
    Corsair CMT64GX5M2X5200C38.

The Dell SK Hynix 32GB modules are sold as single sticks, you need to buy two sticks for 64GB.
    SK HYNIX HMCG88MEBUA08IN.

Both 2x 32GB kits I tested,.. run the pre-loaded profiles up to 5600MHz with no adjustments.

My Apex is batch 1 model: 90MB1810-MOAAYO I bought it from Asus online store, if you can't find the 2022 batch 3 board,.. I recommend the first batch MOAAYO board. I haven't had any issues with mine, I have tested all beta BIOS, released BIOS, and over a dozen DDR5 memory kits listed in QVL all run 100% stable in XMP, all kits I tested manually OC vary well with the SK Hynix IC, the Micron, and Samsung IC kits will run XMP but I would recommend buying DDR5 kit with SK Hynix IC.

Good luck, I hope you enjoy your new system.

    Silent Scone@ROG, Braegnok....

Thank you so much for the advice and information.

Ya, the reason I went for the G.Skill: F5-5600J3036D32GX2-TZ5RK was that G.Skill recommended these in the configuration on their website .

I have read a bunch of forums, that people were having issue with the 6000Mhz memory. So I thought I would chance with the lower speed.

If these seem to cause problems then, I may try a different brand.... Or just send it all back.... Then maybe buy a complete system from someone, that has all of it together without issue? This piecing parts together seems to be a big issues now days with compatibility...

Again Thank You, it is much appreciated... I will post after I get this second motherboard, if it has a newer manufacture date, and if not. I'll try the 2021 date board.

If you need AVX-512 use beta BIOS 1503 with modified MCU 15.

Otherwise if you do not need AVX-512 than latest official BIOS 1505 with MCU 18 from Asus support site is my recommendation.

Ok guys... Your assistances is needed.
I have purchase two ROG Maximus Z690 APEX's motherboards. Have not opened them yet. I can only keep one of these to try out with my new purchase of the i9-12900KS, 64GB G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB 5600Mhz-F5-5600J3036D32GX2-TZ5RK Memory, Plus - EVGA EVGA 10G-P5-3897-KL; RTX 3080 FTW3 Ultra Video card.

One is - Part No.- 90MB1810- M0UAY0; Manufacture date of 2021-11 Purchased from Newegg; from a Australia Company
Two is - Part No.- 90MB1810- M0EAY0; Manufacture date of 2021-11 Purchased from Newegg; from a USA Company

If your only getting to keeping one to do you build which one would you pick. Or do you think it doesn't matter because of the Manufacture date....

I was trying for a January 2022, but didn't make it.....

I would like your "Personal humble expert option" if you have one..... Thank You!

Personally I would keep: One is - Part No.- 90MB1810- M0UAY0; Manufacture date of 2021-11 Purchased from Newegg; from a Australia Company.

The part # 90MB1810-MOUAYO is not listed on any forums,.. that I have seen listed as having issues.

And part # 90MB1810-MOUAY1 is 2022 golden board.

Unfortunately It's imposable to say which part # is going to be 100% stable. As there seems to be solid boards mixed in with all part #'s.

So your best option nowadays is to build your system on a test bench, load Windows, run benchmarks, overclock, and confirm stability.

Then re-build system in your chassis with water cooling loop knowing your systems limits.
