hi there, trying to tidy up my startup programs today and I noticed this...

AsusFCNotification.exe

I've looked around on google and I can't find anything about this exe.

what is it?
what does it do?
can I disable it from start?
can I uninstall it?

just interested to know, its not causing problems for me at least not that I know of

Do you see AsusFCNotification.exe in task manager every time you turn on the pc?
May I have the model name and the bios version of your motherboard?

yes I do see it in the task manager every time I start the pc, I also see TODO: <æª”æ¡ˆèªªæ˜Ž>ITE Gen2x2 Flash Tool flashing up regularly too, I traced it back to a sub folder of the ASUS FC folder

model name:
ROG Maximus z690 exteme

BIOS:
Ver.0702

Hi PSYKOnz,
Do you see notifications since you install OS without any apps installed?
Since some words are corrupt, may I have a video about AsusFCNotification.exe, ITE Gen2x2 Flash Tool and how you traced it back to a sub folder of the ASUS FC folder?

I have reinstalled windows since the first time I posted here and it showed again immediately in start-up

as for the other file here is a video, i basically wait till it pops up, click on it and then choose go to folder,

I had already successfully caught it but forgot to record it so here's a second capture I did, I've sent it to you in a PM, security and all that haha

But I don't see AsusFCNotification.exe and only TODO: <æª”æ¡ˆèªªæ˜Ž>ITE Gen2x2 Flash you mentioned in task manager. Is there no AsusFCNotification.exe in task manger but ITE Gen2x2 Flash is in a sub folder of the ASUSFCNotification folder?
Please update to bios 1601 with the bios default settings to see if it is the same in start-up.
