I've been running the modified BIOS 1503 with AVX-512 the past few months,.. system is stable running XMP.

Personally I feel with DDR5 and Z690 motherboards, anyone who is running XMP profiles above 6000MHz stable plug & play is lucky.

    Hello.

    > I've been running the modified BIOS 1503

Can you share a link to this bios?

    > system is stable running XMP.

Have you tested with memtest86 or other programs?
The fact is that my system can also work stably until you start playing (the best test for the stability of real applications is Cyberpunk 2077 - if it is stable for half an hour of playing with maximum settings, there is no problem, while if it is not stable, then there are and errors in memtest86).

    Z690-APEX 1503u15.CAP: https://onedrive.live.com/?authkey=%...339415&o=OneUp

I have tested over a dozen DDR5 memory kits and have been stable with XMP on all kits tested. With 2x16GB SK Hynix kits I am good to go manually tuned up to 7000c32,.. for testing stability I use the BIOS version of memtest86 first, than boot into Windows and run Karhu, y cruncher.

I also play CP 2077 and I agree,.. max settings , playng for hours with no issues is sweet.

    Hi guys!

I was seeing this topic and i will descrive my problem... I have my computer since april/2022 and Everything was working fine (XMP1 - 6400) and it started a couple of days ago... With Hwinfo64 open I know exactly when the problem will occur after restarting.. Occurs when monitoring RAM temperatures simply go gray (frozen) . After restarting it is 100% sure that Q-Code 53 will occur.
I've formated Windows 2 timwes (to discart some software problem) and i tried adjust de Memory Controller Voltage from auto (1243V) to 1.3 V and sill get the same error. I've tried downgrade bios to version 1505 (same problem) and back again to latest Bios (1601) and still get same problem.
Strangely, this error occurred and became verifiable after playing Division 2 for half an hour, when the memory temperature field in hwinfo64 suddenly goes dark (wasn't monitoring). After this happened, it was 100% sure that if the machine was restarted, the code q-53 would occur.
However, if I turned off the machine and turned it on again, it would start normally, which is even weirder.
    My system is Asus Apex Z690, Core I9 12900Ks and the RAM is 6400J3239G16GX2-TZ5RK (DDR5, 6400MHZ CL32 G-Skill) Bios Version 1601.

Unfortunately, it didn't help me. All I got was a deterioration in the result that I described in the current post: https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthrea...-6400J3239G16G #post867757
With bios 1503u15.CAP, even 6200 CL32 @ 1.45 volts stopped working for me , not to mention 6400+.
For this reason, I rolled back to the latest bios 1601.
I am extremely tired of this whole topic, I spent many hours looking for CPU SAV / MCV , I tried different timing settings, nothing works!
Apparently, I can only wait for the Z790 / 13900K and see if the memory problems are fixed there.
    I'm angry!

hopefully Asus have now some lessons learned and z790 will be better
if your mobo is manufactured 2021, it's likely to be faulty
I saw 5600, 6000 kits with samsung chips going well on 2022 manufactured boards
