Sure, only happens on asus boards. I just wanted an asus response with, "it's ok because..." But never got anything, they make questions but there is no answers.
I find hard to believe there is no fixed voltage for minimun frequency. But lets see.

Read my post again. Have you tried to run TestMem5 few times? Does it throw error during any test?

Gentlemen, I do not want to say anything :-) but check how you have ddr4 memory set, asus bios default sets command rate 1T, try to switch to command rate 2T :-)

ASUS Stix z690-I Gaming WIFI
So, This is the same issue I am having with my MINI-ITX board!
This is ridicules, ASUS has serious issues with the z690 motherboards! It is well documented by numerous VICTIMS of ASUS's deny, deflect and deceive business model!
If you have the option, immediately return the board to the retail vendor you purchased the board from! That is the only way you will obtain satisfactory resolution to the problem!
I would like to see all of those who purchased the defective ASUS z690 boards participate in a class action lawsuit! That is the only way to make ASUS accountable! Unfortunately, that is the only way ASUS is going to correct their corrupt business practices.
I have been dealing with this defective motherboard issue for almost a year, have sent my motherboard in for RMA only to receive it back from ASUS without it being repaired!
ASUS has really lost my respect due to the way they do business!

Sign me up for this issue! Tried everything but replacing the board.
New m.2 disk, different CPU, new GPU, new PSU, reinstalled windows
the issue is there still! i can stresstest my CPU and 9/10 times it will work but then that wierd freeze. I let it go and it was frozen for couple hours before i turned PC off
I can play games but then at random it freezes with same result
Or i can do some light browsing and typing emails, same result!
Sometimes I also get the keyboard and mouse issue where they are not recognized untill i reboot....
