Z690 Extreme crash with iCue

Hi
I have the exact same problem described on this thread.
https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?128743-SPD-Write-Protection-FALSE-and-my-Z690-Extreme-hang...

It seems that icue makes the motherboard crash on reboot.
This all starts with RGB on the RAM that stop moving, then if you reboot, the motherboard crash and does not boot.

I have seen that there are other threads in the Corsair forum where Corsair says that Asus is working on this problem.

I have a Z690 Extreme with Corsair Dominator 5600MHz, this kit is present in the QVL list for the mobo.

Using 2x16GB

If I uninstall iCue, the problem disappear or
if I Enable SPD Write protection in BIOS the problem disappear.

In both cases I can't control the RGB of my RAM.

Is there a real solution for the problem?

Thank you

I completely removed Armoury Crate and I still have the problem, I don't have any other RGB software running on the PC.

Amazon is sending me a new motherboard, thanks god that there is Amazon.

I'll keep the thread posted with the results.

I switched the mobo with a new one, same problem.
I have a fresh new windows install with no armoury crate, only corsair icue.

Hmm, I have the Z690-F, same ram as you, never had a issue with icue other than the Nvida issues that arised a few driver updates ago, but that is fixed for me.

Do you have ICUE enabled at start up??

What Nvida driver our you on??

If you can, run Icue as admin and also check in the compatibility tab and check off run as admin.

I know we have diffrent mobo's but give it a try??

I also dont have icue enabled at start up, I manually start it up.

I have a task that starts iCue one minutes after the PC has started, this helps solving some troubles and it's like "manually starting it".
I'm always on the latest nvidia driver since I have geforce experience and it takes care of my drivers.

I tried running icue as admin but it doesn't helped.

at the end I installed a new Z690 Extreme motherboard and same problem.

is there someone from Asus that can help please?

icue is malware, so go figure.

I hope that other users will see the kind of support Asus gives to their users.
This thread is a proof that Asus gives no support at all to users.

are there some asus technicians that can help here?
are there only marketing boys that sells products there?

are there someone that helps people that have problems with your products too?
