Aura Service (Lighting Service) 3.05.66 leaking memory & handles
Resolved in latest version
Aura Service (Lighting Service) 3.05.66 leaks memory & handles at a fairly high rate, especially with lighting set to Rainbow and Aura Performance Mode on. This was present in the previous version. The latest version improved things slightly, as it previously caused a more system-wide performance problem; now it just soaks up memory at an unreasonable rate. It's currently sat on roughly 1GB memory used and 2.3 million handles after 1 to 2 days runtime. I do not have RGB RAM; and only ROG branded devices are connected to the Aura software. Using services.msc to restart LightingService works successfully to release the memory & handles, and start the leaking over again; it's a less than ideal workaround for the problem that avoids the need to reboot to clear it. Memory usage after a reboot or restart of the service is somewhere around 20MB, so the growth to 1GB and beyond is not reasonable behaviour. Form coming up in a moment.

3.2.2.3 install and rgb controller issues
Simply put ive never had any issues with the aura sync or armoury crate services in the around 4 years ive had my pc i dont use the application for anything other than to control my rgb fans connected to my motherboard and ive never had a single issue. Fast-forward to yesterday i launched the program in attempts to edit my pcs rgb and my motherboard and fans were not being recognized and the changes to color and mode of my fans would not accept the inputs. I ended up uninstalling and wiping the program from my system in attempts to fix the issue upon doing so i was greeted with a variety of issues including the fact that the 3.2.2.3 installer is broken and freezes upon reaching around 90%. I've tried restarting reinstalling uninstalling deleting files etc nothing is working my rgb pc has effectively become non rgb now that the armoury crate app refuses to work PLSSSS HELP IVE TRIED EVERYTHING!!!!!!

Google Form and log received
I have submitted my issue (Malware intercept when using AC) via the Google form complete with logs and screen shots. For the record, I don't have any over-clocking in place.Last edited by MasterC@ROG; 08-18-2022 at 03:40 AM.
