Strix Scar 17 Freezes when Unplugged HDMI

As the title says, my laptop freezes every time the laptop is either unplugged from HDMI or when I change the display to only show the laptop screen only. The system freezes and the only thing I can actually do is force a shutdown by holding the power button. I've tried starting the laptop unplugged and it freezes on the login screen.

Any help would be greatly appreciated so I can actually use my laptop as a laptop now.

Have you tried removing the graphics card driver and reinstalling it again?
Or does the condition improve if you replace the HDMI cable?
