Realtek audio really loud and panel gone
Hello!
I updated my Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Dark Hero audio drivers to 6.0.1.9359 and the sound is very very loud on my headphones. Literally the difference between 1%-2% volume is what I used to have as 20%-80%. Also the realtek audio panel is gone and I only have access to windows's options for sounds. What can be done to fix this issue?

Hi,
You have an ASUS ROG SS3|DTS Sound Unbound motherboard, so :
You need Realtek Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3-DTS) from the first post of this thread : [DRIVERS] Realtek Audio (Intel 2xx/3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx/7xx & AMD 3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx).
Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process then your INSTALL process, for the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow your UPDATE process.

Wuhuu Thank you!
Got the audio panel working and changing from extreme to performance and lowering the front channel helped me to get back to reasonable sound level!
Thanks a lot man!
