XMP issues with z690

Hi,

For some time now I have issues with enabling the XMP profiles. XMP1 most of the times won't even boot or once in Windows I get major artifacts, XMP2 does work but sometime games just freeze.

I paid a good load of money for this memory at launch and it would be nice to be able to use it.

Specs are:

Asus Z690 E Gaming with 1720 bios
i9 12900K (Lian Lee 360 water cooler)
GSkill Trident Z RGB 6000 (40-40-40-76 in XMPII)
Asus Strix RTX 3080
Windows 11 up to date

I would like to bump up the voltage a bit for the memory but I can't find the option. It's set to XMPII but there is no option that I can find that lets me bump it up from 1.3 volts to maybe 1.34 just to see if that's the problem.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks !

*I have a 850 PSU, maybe i'm on the power limit with the 3080 and the 5ghz OC....I have a 1300watts PSU in the closet but for the love of God I don't want to have to change it if I can just tweak the system.

Hi madspecv,

In the bios on the AI Tweaker page set:

Dram VDD voltage - 1.35v
Dram VDDQ voltage - 1.35v
CPU System Agent voltage: 1.25v - 1.30v

At the bottom, Advanced memory voltages:

IVR Transmitter VDDQ voltage - 1.35v
Memory Controller voltage: 1.25v - 1.30v

Try with the lowest values, how does it go?
