Hi everyone,
Just want to start off with I'm fairly new to pc and have no experience at all with motherboard tweaks. I'm currently using i9-12900k on Asus Rog Strix Z690-a and I'm hitting 100c on Cinebench under a minute. I've tried researching on undervolting but a lot have changed on the bios settings and most of the videos available online are outdated.
I've read that bios 2004 fixes undervolting option on Global SVID Core voltage but, I've tried changing this setting to Adaptive mode: -0.008 and it didn't change anything when I ran Cinebench again. Still hitting 100c and 222w power consumption plus thermal throttling.
The reason why I want to undervolt the cpu is because on certain games (NFS Heat/Cyberpunk/New World) I am hitting 80+c and with spikes to 95c which is making me uncomfortable. Do you guys have any idea what am I missing on my undervolt step or is there a correct way to do this on Bios 2004? Any advice are greatly appreciated and thank you in advance to all of you for reading this.
