GT-AX6000 doesn't set a IP address to my TP-link switches after setting internet VID.

Hello,

I own 2 TP-link switches the TL-SG105E v5 and the TL-SG108E v4 both on the latest firmware, my ISP modem Zyxel T-50 always sets a IP address to both switches, default gateway is 192.168.1.1

Now with the GT-AX6000 set as my main router, both switches dont get a IP address from this router set to default gateway 192.168.1.1, i did reset the switches but still no IP address. Both switches are connected with a LAN cable to this router on LAN3 and LAN4.

I have to login to the switches with easy smart configuration utility and disable DHCP setting and manualy set the IP and default gateway.

Any idea why the GT-AX6000 doesnt set a IP address to my TP-link switches?

Latest firmware v3.0.0.4.386.49556

The switches stay on their default ip address.

Did you set the T-50 to Bridge mode? If not you may have a double NAT.

The T-50 isnt connected, the GT-AX6000 is my main router.

The T-50 doesnt support Bridge mode.

I exchanged my T-50 for the GT-AX6000 on a fiber optic connection.

The GT-AX6000 gives all my devices an IP address but the 2 TP-link switches do not.

Must be a bug in the Firmware.

When i swap back the T-50 both switches get a IP address from the T-50.

Maybe Asus deverloper team can look into this problem?

The 2 switches, philips hue, and my pc are connected to the GT-AX6000 with a LAN cable the rest of my devices are off, and the GT-AX6000 only finds my pc and the Philips hue.

I think that the GT-AX6000 has a problem with switches that have a user interface.

When i switch OFF the TL-SG105E and turn it back on the GT-AX6000 system log shows this:
Oct 6 14:50:34 kernel: eth4 (Int switch port: 3) (Logical Port: 3) (phyId: 4) Link DOWN.
Oct 6 14:51:21 kernel: eth4 (Int switch port: 3) (Logical Port: 3) (phyId: 4) Link Up at 1000 mbps full duplex

The instructions for the switch (I read) has a configuration curious instead of power have you tried the "Reboot" function?

The AX6000 has a 2.5 G port available for LAN. (Is it being used)? Maybe try connecting the 8 port there and see if it gets assigned an IP address...

Reboot function? i did reboot the switches still no ip or do u mean the GT-AX6000?

The 2.5 G LAN port is connected to my 2.5 G LAN port from my pc.

I did reboot the GT-AX6000, but still no ip address for both switches.

I connected the 8 port to the 2.5 G LAN from the GT-AX6000 but still no IP address, then i rebooted the GT-AX6000 still no IP address.

This is a bug in the Firmware.

I did factory reset the GT-AX6000 to do some testing, after the factory reset both switches got a IP address from the default IP address from the router 192.168.50.1
Then i changed the IP address to 192.168.1.1 and both switches got a IP address.

To get on the internet i have to set LAN IPTV -LAN port, ISP profile to manual setting and set internet to 300 to get a internet connection after doing this my switches dont get a IP address anymore.

I read somewhere IPTV is specific to LAN #4 if that helps any. I saw in the switch instructions there is a place to reboot the switch in the user interface, vs turning off the power and turn back on...

Are you confident this is correct? Have you asked ASUS support for help?

Maybe move "300" to LAN 4 or LAN 3 setting? Also QoS is ON or OFF?
