I'm having an issue when my computer is in idle where it's randomly turning itself off. It doesn't do it when under load. I've completed a clean install of Windows and disabled fast start up and any sleep settings including the hard drive. The one thing I did notice is with my PSU ECO Mode was enabled on it. Has anyone had experience with this a quick Google seems to make it a problem child. I'm wondering if the PSU is overheating because outside of event viewer there's no mini dump, BSOD, etc... I'm posting my logs below.

What version of the BIOS are you on out of interest? Also, your RAM sticks, i presume they are not EXPO RAM?

I have the same board and CPU but i have been having a similar problem with random crashes. I have noticed it most under gaming and thought it was because i had set up curve optimiser, however i reset that all back to default and the only thing set in BIOS was DOCP for the RAM. I also wondered if it was because i had HWinfo running at the same time to monitor performance because i have noticed it causing a momentary lock up when loading the sensors on initial start, to the point that if i have a youtube video running at the point of starting hwinfo, the video will grind to a complete halt and resume once HWinfo has passed that initial loading.

Needless to say i am still having random crashes

my setup currently:

Crosshair X670E Hero (Bios 0611)
7950x
2x 16Gb Dominator Platinum 6000Mhz
SN850x 2tb SSD
Asus Tuf 3080Ti
Corsair H170i 420mm AIO
Phanteks P600s Case

I'm also running Version 0611. I am using AMD EXPO RAM through G.SKILL. I've also noticed the temp lockups with HWINFO/HWMONITOR/CPU-Z. Fortunately during Gaming/Cinebench/3DBenchMark. I'm not noticing any Performance issues. I believe it's PSU related specifically with the ECO Mode feature. I haven't noticed any crashes since disabling that function on the PSU. I'm awaiting a response back from EVGA regarding their thoughts on it. Also, I'm noticing long delays when opening Steam from the Task Bar(Pinned)/Start menu there's a 20 second delay. If I open it from Taskbar (Near Clock) it's instant.

i was advised over on the AMD forums to raise a case with AMD over the wonky performance of the CCDs it may be nothing, but if they can advise of something that might be causing it or perhaps even confirm (as much as then can without physically having it) it is faulty i can get a replacement.

Randomly, today I noticed the VGA White LED is staying lit on my motherboard as well. I don't believe there's an issue with the GPU though because I've used it for almost a year. Anyone else experiencing this?

I am too having some graphics related issues with my Crosshair X670E Gene with 7900X. I've been having weird periodic stutter in any every game I touch, which I've had no isue what so ever until I changed my platform (previously X570 + 5800X3D). It is very annying and sometimes crashing the system. I had a major crash while running Monster Hunter Rise and running OBS to stream, it suddenly crashed without any error message. I am not sure what's the culprit of this issue but I am quite certain that it's not my 3090 Ti FE. I am considering to return the motherboard and CPU and try different configurations if the problem persists.

Ryzen 9 7900X
ROG Crosshair X670E Gene
G.Skill Trident Z5 F5-6000J3038F16G running at EXPO I at 6000MHz CL30
WD_Black SN850 1TB
Nvidia RTX 3090 Ti Founders Edition
Silverstone SX1000-LPT-X
Corsair H150i Elite Capellix AIO

Similar issues with my 3090 FE and 7950x on the X670e Hero. My biggest issue is I can't game and watch a video on the second monitor. The audio will continue but the video stutters and then stops completely.

I ended up returning my CPU and motherboard. I’m going to give the MSI X670 Ace a try. I’ve always had good luck with MSI motherboards, I just loved the look of the Hero.

What version of windows are you running? there is a specific version of windows 11 i think it is that has a issue with micro stutter, here is a video that talks about it:

I am running 22H2 and this is exactly what I am having right now. I need to test some stuff around this then. Thank you!

-----------------
*Update (1)
I tried W11 21H2 clean install and it didn't help much. still having micro stutters in every game.

*Update (2)
I tried W10 21H2 clean install and everything runs like butter. Windows 11 as a whole was the culprit in my case.

*Update (3)
I installed Armoury Crate, updated some drivers and usual stuff (drivers and softwares I use) and now it stutters again...
