For the z790 apex is the 0005 bios newer than the official 0812 bios that was posted on ASUS' site on 1/18? Also wondering if anyone has tested that 0098 bios that's been floating around.

I did this, got the new 13900k, and swapped out my 12900k which was running stable for the new 13900k, pre-updated bios and all, it ran, and it worked, but windows were unstable BSOD city, couldn't push through, had to reinstall windows 11. however, since reinstalling it's running great! just be prepared Originally Posted by Darge82

For the 0008 test bios for the Z790 Apex, which Firmware and chipset driver is the correct one to use for that bios?

Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process then your INSTALL process, for the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow your UPDATE process.

Trying to install this [FIRMWARE] Intel ME (H610/B660/H670/Z690/B760/H770/Z790)
But right clicking on "Check" or "install" only gives me Error 20 cannot locate ME Device
