And I didn't even increase the XMP voltage, still at 1.4v - this Apex is brilliant.

I gotta spend some time learning the new options in the bios before attempting 8000, but have a strong feeling this 11600K i5 might do 8000 and 8200, since the Apex is so sweeeeet!

And I've got to turn off those darn E-cores before going any farther.

ROG put together a very nice professional package of Z790 Apex accessories without the silly stickers and keychains - we are NOT 15yrs old.

Maybe ROG is finally understanding that the Apex board is most ideal for professional home office users and not the PRO ART series. Home office users like me want the speed to complete our work quickly.

I'd wait until CES 2023 and the Intel announcement, then buy the 13900KS from a reputable seller.

I started buying from PC-Canada, Newegg Canada, Corsair Canada last year buying DDR5 when you could not buy DDR5 in US.

PC-Canada can only ship within Canada same with Newegg, Corsair, so you need to use a proxy shipping service, I use Reshipp.com. https://www.reship.com/?gclid=Cj0KCQ...oaAsxkEALw_wcB

Shipping charges start at $8.99 CAD to proxy, Reshipp.com charges $7 receiving fee, Express shipping with tracking to US,.. total cost is generally $44.99 US and 14-day delivery using Reship mailbox, free membership plan.

The i9-13900KS chips in the PC-Canada listing were Pre-Order only not an in stock item. I still don't have a Z790 motherboard yet, I canceled Z790 Extreme pre-order last month,.. might order a Z790 board this coming week, will indeed need a BIOS update for 13900KS chip on any Z790, or Z690 boards.
