I cannot get my GPU into PCIE 4.0. Trapped in 3.0
My GPU will not go into PCIE GEN 4 mode. I go into the bios and try to do it manually but it only goes up to gen 3. What is wrong? I just installed this GPU and i had no problems with my last GPU the 3090, did i put a power cable in the wrong place or something? Did i break it? I assume that if it was broken then it wouldn't work at all. Something called "PCIE 16_1 link speed" allows me to go into gen 4 but the Express Configuration is stuck at gen 3.
(TUF Gaming Z590-PLUS WIFI / 11900k / 4090)
EDIT: Omg im not the only one. ASUS fix this ASAP if it is your fault

Problem is known, please ASUS Support Contact to get a not yet published Beta Bios for your Mainboard (if one already exists).
Example: Asus Z590-E New Beta Bios Version 1450 with Support RTX 4000 Series!
New/just released mainboards have already released a Bios update for the Support RTX 4000 Series.Last edited by lordberti; 11-06-2022 at 10:39 AM.

Hi byron vetrix,
ASUS is dealing with this issue with NVIDIA. The issue is expected to be fixed in a future NVIDIA graphics driver.
May I have your serial number of the motherboard via pm?
We will consult our tech team to see if there is special bios for your motherboard as a workaround solution.
Thank you.
