    Hello,

This memory kit is on QVL list of your mainboard as mine (Z690-F) and I was considering to buy it, too. It's weird but I've read 3-4 people having problem with this memory kit on Asus Z690 series mainboards.

Do you have a stable manual configuration for this memory kit @4800Mhz or may be even more?

no I haven't tried in 4800 but I don't want to know it's in the QVL list it must work in 6000 otherwise why make a QVL list?

I completely aggree with u But I think you should be sure if your memory kit is working, that's why i suggest you trying to make it work at lower speeds. If it still fails, memory kit can be defective. If not, it will be Asus mainboard's fault at the end since this is a QVL kit which says this kit is tested at 6000Mhz on this board.

    Hello everyone

I have the exact same Setup like ILY3SS59:
MOTHERBOARD : ROG MAXIMUS Z690 EXTREME (BIOS V2103)
    CPU : i9 12900k
    DRAM : G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB 64 Go (2 x 32 Go) DDR5 6000 MHz CL30 (F5-6000J3040G32GX2-TZ5RK)

First I had the Kingston Fury Beast 32 Go (2 x 16 Go) DDR5 5200 MHZ CL40. It worked with XMP I without problem.
After a few Months i changed to the mentioned new G.Skill DDR5.

I used XMP I and it worked since day 1 without a freeze, slowdown or any problem.
Maybe a faulty Ram-Bank on the motherboard or a faulty Memory Stick?
I had BIOS 2103 on it and NOT reseted settings after change of the RAM

Hope it helps. If u (or other user) have specific questions to the setup or settings,
dont hesitate to contact me directly or via reply here in this thread

Ok thank you for your answer how do I test at lower speed? do you have a tutorial or something?

EDIT : Sorry I just noticed that I was not in BIOS version 2103 but on BIOS BETA version 2203 I just went back to version 2103 I activated XMP 1 I'll come back to you if that solved the problem thank you for your feedback.

    Hey Simon,

Thank for the reply. I'm also trying to make a buying decision between Gskill 64gb 6000Mhz or Gskill 32gb 6600Mhz, both are on QVL. Have you had a chance to run this kit at and higher frequency as stable?

I think you should thank to Simon, since he gave that useful input. I'm also waiting to your result, good luck!

    Hi lly3ss59,

Let us know if your ram is stable after the bios update.

If it's not stable after the bios update, 64GB 6000MHz cl30 might need some voltage tuning.

These five voltages can help with memory stability.

    Dram VDD
    Dram VDDQ
    CPU System Agent
    IVR Transmitter VDDQ
    Memory Controller

Your memory is rated at 1.40v so X.M.P. should be setting

    Dram VDD: 1.40v
    Dram VDDQ: 1.40v

In the bios on the extreme tweaker page, try raising these voltages..

CPU System Agent voltage: 1.20v - 1.25v (up to 1.35v if needed)

At the bottom of the extreme tweaker page you should see Advanced Memory voltages.

    IVR Transmitter VDDQ: 1.40v
Memory Controller: 1.20v - 1.25v (up to 1.35v if needed)

At the top of the Dram Timing Control Page select Maximus Tweak Mode 2, this also helps with memory overclocking.

    Hi Buyukbang
    Hello Everyone

    I was able to run a G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB 2 x 16GB, 6400 MHz, DDR5, CL32 under XMP I as stable thru benchs (FFXIV Bench 6.0 - 4K Max)
No tweaks / no changes in OC manually (like voltage, etc.).
Important to say, that I tested under Bios 2103 and that I never tried out XMP II (since it worked flawlessly under XMP I).

My decision was based on my needs aka better results on the game I play. The winner was CLEARLY the G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB 2 x 32GB, 6000 MHz, DDR5, CL30.
    For my needs CL30 to CL32 > 6000Mhz to 6400Mhz & surely 64GB > 32GB.

Hope that helped on ur decision.

    BTW:
Officially the ROG MAXIMUS Z690 Extreme supports 6400 Mhz native from scratch. Higher ones like 6600 Mhz are either new tested on a Z690
or more of a gamble based on a general list from Intel.

Have all a good day and stay safe ^^
