GT-AX11000: slow web admin performance on 3.0.0.4.388_22237

I originally posted this under https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?131710-GT-AX11000-Firmware-3-0-0-4-388_22237-g9120e16/page... however opting to move to its own thread.

I consistently experience poor performance on the Web Admin interface whenever I install firmware 3.0.0.4.388_22237 on my GT-AX11000. Downgrading it back to 3.0.0.4.386_49599 always resolves the issue.

Attached I have included network load times from the Chrome Developer JS Console's network tab. You can note that the load time of the Advanced > Network Map section of the admin panel. In 3.0.0.4.388_22237 some calls take 22+ seconds, this issue is not present in 3.0.0.4.386_49599.

Wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

Sample from 3.0.0.4.388_22237 (bad performance):
97036

Sample from 3.0.0.4.386_49599 (normal performance)
97037

Currently I have downgraded to 3.0.0.4.386_49599, not sure if Asus has suggestions as to what could be causing this.

Worse yet, my admin console stops responding all together. I have it configured as a mesh system and the WiFi goes down too. So no mobile all access. The Ethernet jacks are still live and keep working but the router is otherwise disabled until physically unplugged it and restart it. I downgrade too and have no problem with the previous release which is very stable.

Do you have nodes, and if you wouldn’t mind please share which models?

I found that my AXE16000 with beta firmware (which came out a few days prior to the latest 388_xxxxx) is the best functioning so far as well. I see devices moving around to different nodes whereas before they would primarily connect to the router…

no nodes just the AX11000

Same problem

Wifi slow to a crawl in AP mode (I use Pfsense for routiny) until I restart

I have a timer outlet that restarts everyday and even that is mot enough

Same here.
for me, the GUI even not load.
work only after rebooting the router

Same Issues here. I wasn't sure if it was the last update or designed obsolescence kicking in. I'll try rolling back to the prior version of the firmware too to see if the performance issue clears... If I can't clear up this poor performance I'd be about ready to consider standing up Enterprise class gear but hate the heat and noise that come with that avenue.

Update:
Saw I was running 3.0.0.4.388_22237
There is the updated 3.0.0.4.388.22525 available

I'm upgrading to 3.0.0.4.388.22525 to see if the issue resolves.
If not, next step will be to try downgrading back to 3.0.0.4.386.49599.

Update 2:
Firmware v3.0.0.4.388.22525 seems to correct the issue being described.
