G74sx: HDMI out to tv ends up with a over streached image?

When I hook my lap top up to my TV the image ends up over stretched. Like right now its hooked up and on the lap top everything is okay, however on the TV I cant even see the top of bottom of firefox as they are off screen.
I try and set it to just display on the TV and not the lap top still the same problem. I never had this problem with my NV59. I took my laptop to my brothers house and had the same issue.

Any idea on how to fix this?

I suspect you need to change the aspect ratio setting in your TV (for the HDMI input you're using). Perhpas it's on "Zoom" or a similar setting?

Yeah set the TV to "Just Scan" or "Normal"
