Yea that is right but one of the articles I found said the later models will have 670 Kepler, but after doing some digging I dont trust that article anymore.
I am going to end up buying the 670m.
one of my other friends is buying the g55 we will benchmark and see which one is better. even tho I really think that it will be the 670m even tho it is not a kelper

So then you will go with the pc from newegg? The only thing you will gain on that notebook is the CPU, I can not see any other difference :P

I've seen mobile Kepler in action and it's very nice with appropriate clocks but right now yields are low for all Kepler including desktop. It may be some time before we see Kepler fully spread its wings. If you need a laptop now then you'll be better off with the revised Fermi.

It would be nice to see how the kepler will work when it's fully developed and perhaps in these new beasts

But can I ask one thing, why was there so many different models in the G73(JH, JW, SW) series, and when it come to G74 it is only one model (SX). In logical term also the G53 should have gone to G54 but didn't. I feel that the G74 only have been into marked for some months and the G73 has been in the market for over 1 year at least. Wouldn't it be better to call this new G75 for G74vw ?

Perhaps a stupid question and poor formulation of what I'm trying to say so sorry for that.

The 75 is a redesign in more ways than just a newer GPU so I think it earns the new generation number. There is a new article on the front page that talks about the new design:
    http://rog.asus.com/97782012/g-serie...e-g75vw-g55vw/

There never was a G54 because the 74 just didn't scale down properly. The 54 would have been thicker than the 74 (see the above article here for more comparisons between recent releases).
