G75 6Gb/s SATA?

Hey so I installed an SSD recently but I only get like ~300 Mb/s. This SSD supports SATA with 6Gb/s which is like ~500Mb/s if I'm not mistaken.

So my question is, does the G75 have SATA 6Gb/s support? Since I have the SSD in the secondary, I was wondering if maybe the primary slot supports 6Gb/s.

Thanks

Download CrystalDiskInfo 4.xx - there's a portable version even so you don't have to install it. The info screen will tell you what mode it's running in.

Bits / 8 = bytes

6Gb/sec / 8 = 750MB/sec theoretical max.

FYI - Mb = megabit, MB = megabyte, Gb = gigabit, GB = gigabyte

The G75 as well as the previous generation G74 both support 6Gb SATA.

According to Corsair, the Force GT is capable of a MAX of 555 MB/s sequential read and 515 MB/s sequential write. If you download HWInfo64 then it will tell you at what speed your SDD is connected at.

My drives are only SATA-II/3Gb...

Drive Controller: Serial ATA 3Gb/s
Drive Model: Seagate ST95005620AS
