Maximus V Gene & 3770K @ 4.9GHz 1.32v!

Just wanted to say thanks Asus. Best motherboard I've ever used, ever! Overclocking with this thing is fun and easy. UEFI is amazing, screenshots are cool, just great. Thanks.

Now if only GPUTweak would remember my voltage settings I'll be a happy camper with Asus. Everytime I save 1.399v for core (using Asus Test OC Bios 7970) ...It saves the profile, but after every boot the voltage goes down to 1.34 or so and I have to manually reload the profile.

Hopefully others can achieve the same with their Ivys! Good luck 😄

Sean222 ... Welcome to ROG friend.c.

Hey Sean, that water loop looks fantastic?

What PC case are you using and what parts are you using for the watercooling?

Thanks!

Oh no! When do you think my CPU will die??? It's at 1.32 in the BIOS, and idle temp is 33-37, and when I play games/surf web/watch movies/word processing/photoshop/etc...the temps never go above 70.

Are you saying that if I use my computer 24/7 with max temps of 50-60 that it'll die soon??????????? What do I do???

IntelBurnTest made the CPU hit 105c in the pic above, I guess I can't run benchmarks all day everyday for the rest of the my life like I planned 😞 Bummer.

Edit:  This post is sarcasm by the way, haha. It's hard to show sarcasm on the interwebs. 😛

Chill mate. Your temps are just fine, and you are not ever going to be doing to your CPU in normal 24/7 use what a Intel burn test does. If you were planning or I thought you would be running stress tests for 24/7 (why????) then I would have said something.

your system is just peachy 🙂

Haha, I'm not worried at all, lol. I was being SARCASTIC to moorhen2's reply above mine 🙂
I've been overclocking for a long time, never had a chip degrade or die. 😄

Thanks again for the complement HiVizMan, it's nice knowing my system is appreciated!
