G55 mobility and bag question

This is my first post here at the ROG forum.

Back in 2008 I bought an ASUS C90S, which I have liked really well. However I do feel like it is time to upgrade to a new laptop now. I'm really considering the g55, but I have some questions.

1) How easy it is to carry this around campus?
2) Does it fit in a normal laptop bag or do I need to buy a backpack?
3) Will either the bag or the backpack need to be so large that it looks silly?

I go to college for engineering so up until now I'm more or less carrying my current laptop everywhere I go and I do not see that change.

1.it is easy to carry around campus as it is not very heavy..just 3.8kg
2.a backpack will be better, im using a camel active 18 inch laptop backpack for my g55. normal 17 inch backpack cant fit the g55, wait until you get your g55, then go to the backpack shop with your g55 and test the bags
3.a normal 18inch backpack or other 17 inch backpack like EVERKI etc etc should be fine
