Question Asus G750JH SPDIF output - Encoding Dolby Digital Live !

There is no clear answer to this question on the forum so i'm asking any g750Jh owner to help us out ! Does this notebook have Dolby Digital Live Encoding on SPDIF output or DTS Connect ? The setting can be found under playback devices options in windows. I posted a screenshot of the settings window for a notebook with spdif output so you can better understand what I am talking about ( not an ASUS ).

My JX does not have the dolby digital live 5.1 option, and I think JH has the same card.

Thank you for the fast answer ! I was afraid of that and it really makes me sad ! Can a JH owner confirm this as well ?

EDIT : I bought a G750jh and I can confirm that it doesn't have DDL ! You only get stereo output through SPDIF !

How to connect your G750JH spdif to a Toslink to Optical Mini Adapter.

It'll work if you have the proper adapter.

You need to use a 3.5 " Toslink to Optical Mini Adapter .

With that adapter, you attach a Toslink cable and connect the Toslink cable to the Toslink on a stereo receiver Toslink connection or on speakers that have a Toslink connection...ie....Logitech Z906 speakers.

Here's a link to the cable at Amazon...I'm in Canada...if you're in the US it's even cheaper.
(adapter under $3.00...add in Toslink to Toslink cable...all under $10.00)

Also ASUS has this cable to do it as well:

Here's my sound now with it hooked up like I mention. Click image for larger version.

When I play a dvd or blu ray video I get dolby digital output. (I'm using the Logitech Z906 digital speakers).

It shows up on the console of the Z906 when it outputs DD. (Also coming through all 5 speakers and the sub).

    Great speakers !

Take a look at the specs and you'll see it's expensive, but well worth the money and outputs exactly like they say.
