Low CPU score with Windows Experience Index

Title states it all. My lowest score is my CPU at 4.8 which seems unusual with the i7-720QM. Any reason or thoughts to why this may be? Any one else have similar experiences? Finally, what can I do to fix?

Thanks,

I'm guessing that this is speed step at work. Basically the CPU is clocked down most of the time to save power.

The Experience Index is so vague as to almost be useless anyway. Are you having problems? If not then ignore it. If you're having problems then there are far better diagnostic tools available.

Yes that's low. Everyone should get 6.9 to 7.1 with that processor. Check the processor settings for your selected power plan...set minimum processor state to 0% and maximum to 100%. That setting will let the i7 do its thing.
