my tv is on this list, and i have 1.4 hdmi cable. my model for g73jh-A3. I was curious if my laptop will be able to play 3D games via my tv when the time comes.
AFAIK, the HD5870M does not support 3D gaming. The models with the GTX460M do. You can still playback 3D movies, just not gaming, unless a game itself is generating the stereoscopic image.
there are a few ways you can get 3d to work with that card even on games. iz3d makes some software and stereoscopic players that work with any video card. search around you will find many forums that show you how. It is possible though requires a bit of trial and error and doesnt work as well as nvidia. i have not tried it with emmiter. i mainly tried it with anaglyph glasses and 3d discover not 3d vision
