    Hey there!

I'd have to recommend one of the Gskill Z series kits (the black ones). Something like these http://www.gskill.com/products.php?index=439 or these http://www.gskill.com/products.php?index=430 for less voltage.

Just remember for more than 16GB you have to run the appropriate version of windows. (Home Premium is max 16GB)

    I think i'll go for:

    DDR3 G.Skill RipjawsZ F3-17000CL9Q-16GBZH 2133MHz 16GB (4x4GB) CL 9-11-10-28-2N 1.65V

Why should i choose a lower voltage (1.50V i suppose) one?

The voltage choice is based on the chipset standard. Think back to when DDR3 was first released. The chipsets needed the ram sticks to be clocked at 1.9+ to run. Try that with some of the newer CPU's and you will have a very short lived CPU.

1.65 is about the top of the voltage range you should be looking at when buying ram.

So you think it'll be very unsafe with a P9X79 DELUXE that lists it as certified RAM and a i7-3930K that's quite pricey?

1,65V memories will be just fine! What HiVizMan tried to say is that don't go above 1.65V

    Thanks so much guys!

Just the last question for you, damn genies!

I found this 16GB QuadChan Corsair RAM at my retailer estore: CMZ16GX3M4A1600C9
    It's more than 1/3 less! 90€ vs 150€

Would it be really weak if compared to the G.Skill one we spoke just above?

The Corsair CMZ16GX3M4A1600C9 is a dual channel kit... but Asus is listing it in the QVL...

Perhaps the GSkill above would be a better overclocker... but that depends on what you want to use your system for...

In real life, every day use, I don't think you would observe the difference between these two memory kits... however the Vengeance series may be not the best choice for the x79 platform... there are more positive feedbacks using the GSkills...

Please try and stay away from the vengeance stuff and the X79 boards. I can not express in public forum what I really think of those dimms.

I don't know the number of problem threads that I've seen that turn out RAM related and the RAM turns out to be Vengeance. Certainly seems it's no friend of X79. You get what you pay for!
