to be honest you need to go with an asus authorized reseller like xoticpc. they inspect and burn-in your laptop to find defects first if there are any they start with another system out of the box.

Lol this guy is getting Trolled, when you return a product the company is suppose to send/email you a "SHIPPING LABEL" which means that there is no charge for mailing the item.

I am outside the USA so I took a risk - if the unit was DOA I am going to get stung.

ASUS are sending out faulty units - and we are paying the price.

Solution is simple: do not buy ASUS products.

Search this forum to see how many people are having issues with G75 laptops - they are very low quality.

HP dv7 build quality is far superior to these flimsy G75s.

So why didn't you buy a DV7? It does not have a 2nd drive that is easy to use ... it has heating/cooling issues.

Not sure that I find your postings credible here.

    for oceemar

If you get a faulty unit you will be stuck like me - lots of stress and big bills - and no laptop.

Anybody buying a G75 without thoroughly checking it first is nuts.
IMO ASUS has serious quality problems - both in design and manufacture.

That is only my experience with 1 G75 of course.
But that arrived with case half open, screen bezel loose and ill fitting, broken sound and broken video.

    Look elsewhere for a laptop!

You can see there are plenty of G75s with the same fault as mine on the ASUS support site:

    http://support.asus.com/Troubleshoot...XxueTd&no=1015

These units should have been recalled - but they weren't.
