about ASUS ROG Xonar Phoebus that i shoudl know about?

Hi, I was looking in on a new sound card for my Rampage IV Extreme Motherboard to either replace my Recon3D, cause I somehow get the feeling the card not doing the task for me in sum tasks and sometimes my audio blanks out like distorted audio and hissing and i cant hear nothing comming out of my speakers till i restart again.

I would rather be using optical cable since I find its more easy to set up my speakers other than using the audio 5.1 connections.

Aneway to cut it short. On this sound card what drivers should i get the one from the disc or the one on the website <Since I seen people having some issues with their Xonar Phoebus but aint sure if its reflecting the RoG one>

and of course I hear this one has optical adapter on it. I been tryin to look on the net on a close pic of it just to make sure it does have the connection i need.

Cause i dont wanna waste my money and I have to use my audio connections where my connection for 5.1 is not that long enough to reach. (thats why i also wanna use optical for)

Aneway sorry for making it sound so werid at the start of the thread.
