Faulty Cards: GTX670 DC2 TOP
Hi there.. maybe you that are in direct contact with Asus can make something...
I'm experiencing a lot of troubles with my STOCK new GTX670 DC2 TOP and I'm slowly finding out lot of threads concerning crashes of STOCK cards as mine one.
With "STOCK" i mean "without any extra OC" as "out of the box". These cards are OC-ed by default.. so you'll expect that they behaves perfectly "out of the box"..
They do not.
Crashes with most games in few seconds/minutes and they don't even complete a full loop of any benchmark software (Unigine, 3DMark11..)
The most frequent is: "D3D11AppWindow::swap_window(): device removed"
Everyone is RMA-ing cards back to the retailer.
Can you - sorry, i meant "Can we" - here at ROG do something with ASUS to prevent this?
Here you have some links for further informations:

The good news is that there haven't been any TOP cards in stock anywhere that I've seen here in the US. Hopefully the next batch is better. Are they still in stock where you live?

I don't really know.. I usually buy directly from the stock and i saw it the first time a couple of weeks ago and it was restocked almost twice (20+20 i suppose)
let's see..!
..the problem is that I find quite sad to choose a default overclocked card ( at a overclocked price.. ) to underclock it to a base frequency to stop it crashing continuously after 10 secs of benchmark.. :/Last edited by KhelSyS; 06-14-2012 at 11:26 PM.

1. Increase the fan at 70%
2. Increase the voltage to the max.
3. Test again and report back.

Mine works flawlessly, there seems to be a link between the card and gpu tweak uninstall it and then try and see if your games crash.
I never installed gpu tweak I use msi afterburner.Last edited by nadof1; 06-16-2012 at 09:52 AM.

I know that there are few workaround, thank you so much anyway
The problem, as i mentioned before, is that an overclocked and BINNED ( I read that the process of selecting the best cards is named this way ) card paid way more than a reference one DOESN'T HAVE TO crash out-of-the-box!
I should go for RMA but i read that now is like a lottery: you have few chanches to get a perfect one.
Someone RMA'd them two times and still no luck :/
I think I should tweak it and wait few months.
Anyway, unistalled GPUTweak and installed PrecisionX from EVGA. Let's try also Afterburner..Intel i7-3930K C2 | Asus P9X79 DELUXE | Asus GTX670-DC2T | G.Skill RipjawsZ F3-17000CL9Q-16GBZH 2133MHz | Corsair H100 | 1TB WD Caviar Black | 64GB Samsung 830 SSD | Corsair Carbride 500R White Edition
