G55 Stutter?

Commonly, and at all times whether I'm listening to music or playing games, the G55 will have a 1-2 second stutter. The temperatures are all normal. It'll happen whether I'm playing diablo 3 or just surfing the web listening to pandora. Any ideas?

What antivirus software are you currently running?

McAfee that came preinstalled. Also, should Asus Live Update be uninstalled?

Yep - ditch 'em both. Be sure to REBOOT. You can choose another antivirus to protect your system.

i was having the same problem, it was caused by ASUS' Akamai Web Interface. f you have it, used it to dl a driver, uninstall it.
ROG Notebooks: G75VW, G74SX, & G73JH And a gaming rig.
