Crazy question... silicone on a Crosshair V

Can silicone sealant be used on a motherboard? Probably only use will be cable management for temp probes.

im thinking why would you want to lol.

try cable ties they work wonders as for silicone i looled at that one but yeah you could use it be hard to clean after like

Some yes some no would be my guess. Also if you'd want to use them on your board might depend on their chemistry...i.e. what evaporates for them to cure. Some are acetic acid based some alcohol which might corrode.... Some are conductive!

OP you can use what ever you like on your motherboard. The only thing you need to work out is if the stuff you are wanting to use is non-conductive. I know some folks who have killed motherboards, graphic cards by using super glue (and not all are non-conductive). I think that you can find that information out by downloading the data sheet of the product you want to use.
