I am new to this forum, so be gentle 🙂

I am looking to buy the G55 , from Amazom.com.

This model only comes with Windows home premium,
so is it a hassle to upgrade to Windows Ultimate asoon as i receive the laptop?

Thanks 🙂

No, just go into Control Panel and click on "Anytime Upgrade". Once you pay, it does not take that long to upgrade.
I am disturbed because I cannot break my system...found out there were others trying to cope! We have a support group on here, if your system will not break, please join!

If I remember correctly, with the "Anytime upgrade" options the full OS is already instaleld on the computer, Microsoft has just turned off the "Ultimate" options and will enable them once you've paid for them. Of course, you may want to see if you can either find one that already has ultimate or allows you to configure the laptop to include it. Typically the price is cheaper to upgrade at time of purchase. Afterwards, Microsoft charges $139.95 to upgrade to Windows Ultimate... plus your Windows 7 Home Premium licences is worthless as the $139.95 cost is an upgrade. You don't get 2 separate licences...
