im not 100% sure what's going on here but when i plug my G55V Laptop into the power the touchpad will go crazy but when im running it on battery the touchpad is fine

i did a test with a wireless Touch pad i had to see if its the laptop's touchpad doing it or not and looks like its all coming from the touch pad

i may have some noise on my power line would that cause something like this to happen? the battery is in the middle of the laptop closer to the pad then other types =X i do not have any issues with any other PC Equipment

anyone seen this before?

Erratic cursor movement is a well-known issue for G73 and G74 series laptops. It occurred on battery or A/C on these laptops. The main cause was improperly-applied foil tape used to ground the touchpad on these earlier laptops (see http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?883-Troubleshooting-ASUS-G73-Touchpad-Problems&p=91374&view... and http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?883-Troubleshooting-ASUS-G73-Touchpad-Problems&p=38562&view...).

You report you only experience the issue when on A/C, and not on battery. Confirm that your power supply is clean and properly grounded. Try some other outlets in other buildings and see if you can reproduce the issue.

ive plugged the Laptop into the kitchen 4 times now and all 4 times the touchpad has worked fine

but when i plug it into any other power socket the touchpad will go nuts

so it dose not look like its the laptops fault it may be a little more sensitive then other laptops is all

any idea what i should do? ive never heard of something like this before =X anyone got some tips?

It sounds like more effort was expended on grounding your home's kitchen circuit than elsewhere, probably due to the electrical appliances installed there. I recommend getting an electrician to check out your home electrical circuits. Poorly-grounded, reverse polarity, dirty power can damage sensitive electronic components.

I found this article interesting with respect to electrical grounding, polarity, and its effects on computer hardware: http://www.thailandguru.com/grounding-earthing-electrical.html

And you need not live in a developing nation to experience electrical grounding problems. Shoddy workmanship can be found anywhere and I've experienced electrical problems myself in recent construction right here in the good ol' USA, where building codes are supposed to protect you from that kind of thing....
