Intel Smart Response Tech - Help BSOD

I just got my Maximus v Formula, and I was planning on setting up Intel SRT with my 60GB SSD for caching.
I got windows installed on a 640GB HDD, and looked up instruction on setting up SRT.
Accoring to every guide I have seen you must switch your SATA to RAID mode.

However when I switch to Raid mode I get a BSOD upon loading windows. Do I have to reinstall windows again, after switching to RAID, or is there something I can adjust to allow windows to boot successfully.
