Go have a look at the comparatives, your CPU should be fine with most of the newer cards. If you have no bottle neck with two 5770 then how about a single HD7980?

Okay thanks for the link looking ebay quick there is no HD7980 😮
i have found HD7970 but they are still pretty expensive 2nd hand
I'm looking at 150-175 GBP for a 2nd hand card

Typo sorry mate.

HD7850 is within your price range now all you need to work out is if the performance gain is worth buying a new card, or staying with what you have.

bit risky going with a second hand card dude .. you never know if it's been abused or not ..you could go with 2 6870's for a little over what you have ..or get one and a second later ..

The good thing about the AMD systems is that you can crossfire two different cards. So you could pick up a single 7 series card and pair it with one of your 5870's and sell the other.

Really i didn't know that, i know the lucid chip allows different vendors!
I'm on 5770's atm both 2nd hand and was fine got a bargain for the two at £50 😉
What would be better over all? i don't mind buying a single card and adding a 2nd later
Just wanna see what is best for performance/price wise.
so 2x 6870's or a 7850 and add another at a later date ?
