I can't say it even more... those new bios/RSTe roms are awesome. Just re-installed windows on my system (i had a few glitches that i wanted to get rid of... and re-install was the only way)
Damn that new rom version fly... i am up and running in windows in 24sec flat from where i press the power button to fire the PC... geez... that's at lease 10sec flat lower than my previous windows installation with 1404 bios and older RSTe firmware... Good job!Rampage IV Extreme (4802) + Core i7-3930K @ 4.3GHZ + Corsair H100i Push Config.

Thanks man. I believe the good question is , why the hell ASUS didnt bother to update raid rom ? They released 10 bioses for RIVE already and benchmarks show that the nwest ROM provides significant speed increase ... FAIL ASUS really... For a company that big You should really address the performance of the flagship products at least...

It's already known using the new OPROM causes no issues to previous data, which I believe is the reason Shamino initially said is why it hasn't been updated.
The only logical reasons I can come up with are:
A) it will cost (not sure how Intel licenses their OPROMs) or
B) They just don't want to deal with the headache of users complaining if something DOES indeed go wrong - "if it isn't broken, why fix it?"
It would be nice however to hear the legitimate reason why they are not updating their top of the line boards with the latest proven stable software, though. Especially seeing as this particular OPROM enhances performance and these boards claim to be all about performance.
