LN2 MOS heatsink included

New video card arrived; ASUS HD7970.

Box included item: LN2 MOS heatsink.

Understand purpose of heatsink but I found no instructions as to where it was supposed to be installed.

It to be install for VRM when you are doing serious sub zero cooling. Other than that you do not need it.

That answers the 'when' it would be installed - still does not answer the 'where".

As I said to be fix it to gfx VRM. You dismantle the fan and heatsink in order to see it.

Thanks for the info and the picture - doubt I consider disassembling the video card.

Can somebody send me one spare LN2 mos heatsink? 🙂 I have 7950 TOP v2 which has same PCB layout so it can fit that heatsink with custom cooling.

I doubt the HD7950 TOP would have the same PCB as the Matrix has!!!

OP has 7970 DirectCU II, no-one was talking about Matrix here. Please, do some reading before posting.

7950 TOP v2 (but only v2) which I have has same PCB as that card. So, if anyone has that heatsink I would like to buy it for some reasonable price.
